The store moved to a bigger shop recently, due to high demand (now in a corner in Mitre Av. San Carlos de Bariloche center)


So if you go to Bariloche, give it a try, you won't be dissapointed at all, and perhaps you come back with one of those red chocolate packages.

San Carlos de Bariloche tem muitas e variadas alternativas de hospdagem para gente de todos os níveis económicos.
Normalmente a maioría dos turistas procuram o centro de Bariloche pois a cidade tem muitas opções, lojas, restaurantes, shopping.

Aeroporto de Bariloche

Aeroporto de Bariloche

San Carlos de Bariloche tem um belo aeroporto a apenas minutos da cidade, atualmente com voos  regulares (aerolíneas argentinas, LAN).

O titular de Aerolíneas, Mariano Recalde, falou que  “é práticamente oficial e pronto vamos a estar anunciando que vamos a ter tres voos chárter semanais a Bariloche mais um chárter semanal a Ushuaia”. Na sua participacão no Foro Panrotas, en na cidade de São Paulo.

São excelentes notícias para os milhares de turistas brasileiros que adoram a neve que tem pensado passar suas ferias de inverno na Patagonia Argentina, Bariloche ou Villa la Angostura (pois o aeroporto mais perto da Vila é mesmo BRC).

San Carlos de Bariloche espera uma excelente temporada de inverno ja desde o verão 2011 - 2012 houve días excelentes atividades na montanha, assambleias (congresso da mulher) que lotaram os hotéis e cabanas desde o centro mismo e nos kilómetros (a zona que tem principalmente bangalôs e cabanas)

Bariloche 2012 tem alta demanda para hospdagem na temporada de inverno, com um aeroporto operativo que translada ao turismo internacional que visita a cidade para apreciar a natureza de Bariloche.

Aeropuerto de Bariloche Abierto

San Carlos de Bariloche tiene desde hace algún tiempo aeropuerto operativo que recibe vuelos regulares (aerolíneas argentinas, LAN). Esto reabre la puerta que debido a la actividad durante el año 2011 el se vió afectada por la erupción del volcán chileno Puyehue.

Al corriente mes de Marzo 2012 las cenizas no presentan mayores dificultades, la ciudad está limpia, sus medios de transporte operables como de costumbre y salvo por la molestia que pueda ocasionar según el día sobre la visibilidad prácticamente no hay percance para el turismo que viene a disfrutar de las actividades regulares de Bariloche.

Para este invierno, se espera la llegada de entre 18 y 20 mil brasileños, en base a la cantidad de vuelos chárter ya confirmados.

Sin duda buenas noticias para todos los que apuntan a una nueva temporada de nieve y montaña este invierno 2012.

Bariloche Cenizas


Bariloche le pone ganas a la temporada invierno 2011.
El 20 de Junio 2011, vecinos trabajan junto con las entidades del estado para limpiar Bariloche y tener así la habitual temporada de invierno 2011.


Al parecer la iniciativa comenzó en Facebook y los vecinos tomaron acción.

Y más de 2000 personas están trabajando en la limpieza de las cenizas volcánicas arrojadas por el volcán de Chile Puyehue.

Bariloche 2011


Con una propuesta de servicios cada vez más afinada y un ritmo acelerado en la ocupación de plazas, San Carlos de Bariloche espera un año más con excitación la temporada invierno 2011.


Las vacaciones de invierno de Capital y Gran Buenos Aires hacen que ya con meses de anticipación sean extrañas las plazas disponibles para el mes de Julio 2011 en particular la segunda quincena.


Sumado a esto se multiplican las chances de visitar Bariloche, dada la avalancha de feriados turísticos que provee el actual calendario y que invita a ir degustando Bariloche durante el otoño antes de la llegada de la esperada temporada invernal.

Patagonia Argentina Map



Patagonia Argentina Map:
Patagonia Region is located between the red lines in Argentina Map. Notice that Chile is part of Patagonia too. So from Neuquen state to Tierra del Fuego at very south (down in the map) Patagonia Argentina goes from Atlantic sea cost, to the Andes (delimiting Argentina and Chile).

Chilean Patagonia goes from Andes to Pacific cost.
San Carlos de Bariloche is on Río Negro state, below Neuquén state.
Neuquén is the "north" part of Patagonia Argentina, Villa la Angostura is located in Neuquén for instance, and San Martín de los Andes as well.
All three have sky centers discussed before: Cerro Catedral in Bariloche. Cerro Bayo in Villa la Angostura, and Chapelco in San Martín de los Andes.

Its peaks resemble the towers of a temple medieval Gothic style. Hence its name.

The Cerro Catedral, located 19 kilometers from the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, paving the way people around the world eager to experience the adventure promised by Snow.

With options for all types of skiing, including off the track, those who practice the freestyle and snowboarding will have a specially designed area with bumps and rails to demonstrate their skills. Cathedral is also setting for the most important international competitions.

From Bariloche, by the by. Bustillo until kilometre 8 (crossing Cathedral). Then turn left on the tarmac road to access the ski center, with its free parking for 960 vehicles. There is also a regular buses every 30 minutes, or it can go up in a taxi, discount or with some tourist excursion. Season: from 18/06 to 10/10, divided into high, low and average. Hours: 9 to 17. Activities: alpine skiing, in substance, and crossing off the track, snowboarding, bobsledding, paragliding, trekking, mountaineering and mountain biking. Services: inns, restaurants top level, lockers, local clothing and souvenirs, digital photos, medical service at the base of the hill, public telephones and Internet access at the base station in 1600, ski rental, ample parking, downtown reports, child care, ski school, shopping, clubs, transfers to the hill, press room, four trax and snow cats.

Tango in Bariloche Argentina!


Bariloche has, their own tango festival.

Miguel Roldan and his entire team, carried out Patagonia and Tango Festival.

But the festival is not only show: during the first six days is what organizers call the prefestival, which proposed musical clinics, a contest of letters referring to the theme of Patagonia and other visual arts (painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, graphic design, digital, mixed-media, sculpture and objects), dance classes, a dance workshop in the business arena and a championship for dancers.


It also introduced a CD with local artists: Bariloche Tango Trio, Graciela Novellino and Juanjo Miraglia, Paola Schiavoni, Ariel Ascheri, Laura Calvo, Carina Alberelli Juri and Andrea.

To dance the tango in Bariloche, the first place is El Rincon del Tango. You can look at the billboard that to the street in Moreno 40 and choose. The tango classes are very crowded and open.

Flyfishing in Bariloche: Limay River


Limay River is located 20 kilometres from the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, in northern Patagonia, Argentina.


In its configuration we can find from sliding and pozones, fast and slow water. The Limay River from its mouth at Lake Nahuel Huapi to the "Corner Boy" has very few places where these and wading is possible, we need to achieve a considerable distance casting due to the depth and speed of its waters.

El Bolsón



Anyone who travel to San Carlos de Bariloche, don't want to miss El Bolson.


And particularily the Craft Fair, with myriad varieties of handicrafts in all materials, wool, dried flowers, wood, paint, leather, metal, cloth, and more.

And its regional producers also presented there, selling their sweets, vegetables, cheeses, homemade beers and all kind of drinks (you won't get a Coke because rules are rules).


A wide range of artistic street shows. In summer, the Fair provides an array of colour and music Enjoy it on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 15:00 pm

Bariloche in Summer

Summer is about to come. (Talking of Summer in December you say?... Yes, in Argentina Summer starts 21th December so end of December, January and February are high summer season.

And what does San Carlos de Bariloche offer for summer?

3 things you can do in Bariloche in Summer:

1) Go try cold Nahuel Huapi waters in Playa Bonita. 8 km from city center people enjoy the beach and cold water.

2) Visit the other lakes, and why not, fishing: Mascardi, Gutierrez for instance

3) Visit Colonia Suiza and taste the Curanto. A traditional way to cook vegetables and meat. A whole ceremony.

Esquel Argentina


Esquel is located in Chubut state. If you visit San Carlos de Bariloche you must still travel to south, what means you will cross the whole Río Negro state to get into Chubut.


Esquel is located at north west of Chubut some 1980 km from Buenos Aires.
You can travel in Via Bariloche bus either from Buenos Aires or San Carlos de Bariloche.
Also Andesmar goes to Esquel.
If you prefer to take a flight, Aerolineas Argentinas or Lade are available options for this trip.
Esquel has lot of snow in winter and beautiful lakes as the one in the photo: Futalaufquen lake.

Snowboard and Ski in Cerro Catedral

San Carlos de Bariloche has one of most importan Ski centers in Southamerica.

The well known, Cerro Catedral delights snowboarders and every single person that likes skiing from the end of June to October sometimes.

So what do you need to enjoy snow in Bariloche?
You can get ski rental in Villa Catedral (the small town in Cerro Catedral), clothes, globes, ski and snowboard equipment is rented for a reasonable price.

You can also consider Cerro Bayo, in Villa la Angostura because is just 1 hour away from San Carlos de Bariloche.

In this case perhaps you may want to visit commerces in the Villa, instead those on Cerro Bayo itself because they are often cheaper.

Bariloche Argentina


San Carlos de Bariloche has a fixed calendar for all kind of activities.
In cold winter ski is the main entertainment.

Cerro Catedral has excellent infraesctructure and skiing there is a real pleasure.

Villa Catedral is the name of the zone near ski lifts, where you can find restaurantes, shopping, sports shops, bars and even ski resorts or hotels.

Bariloche Argentina is not only ski, but winter from end of June to September give us all that oportunity.
